Fully Smitten
I’m only half vaccinated
But I am fully smitten
By some love-louse I’ve been
Gregariously bitten
Perhaps it is a bee
By it I have been stung
Infected with a love flu
It permeates my lung
Through the air like pollen
Though allergic I am not
She breezes past my heart
With every single thought
If ardour were a fluid
Coloured brightly blue
You’d see a swirling vortex
Connecting me to you
Surely you can feel it
A noncompliant hum
Giving rise to musings
’bout gulping iced tea, yum!
And yet I languish here
I think you have slacked off
You have some making up to do
Quaff the past-tense Draw, <cough>
